Traffic Complaint

Attention Chapel Valley Residents, We have received several complaints regarding drivers speeding on Geneva Drive and other streets in our neighborhoods. Please keep in mind that our roads are used by children and residents for outdoor activities such as riding bicycles, walking, and playing. Officers will be monitoring traffic in these areas, and if the speeding continues, citations will be issued. We urge everyone to allow extra time for travel and to prioritize the safety of our community and our children. Thank you for your cooperation.

School Bus Safety Reminder

As the school year is underway, we want to remind all drivers of a very important law: When a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop sign extended, YOU MUST STOP.

Children may be crossing the road to get on or off the bus.

It’s not just courtesy—it’s the law.

Violating this law can result in heavy fines, license suspension, and most importantly, it puts children’s lives at risk.

Let’s work together to keep our community safe. Always be alert, slow down in school zones, and STOP for school buses.

Your safety is our priority. Let’s make sure every child gets to and from school safely.

The Center Township Police Department is alerting residents to a recent increase in vehicle break-ins throughout the area. We urge all community members to take the following precautions:

• Remove all valuables from your vehicle, including electronics, bags, and other items that may attract thieves.

• Lock your doors and close all windows whenever you leave your vehicle, even if only for a short time.

• Park in well-lit areas whenever possible.

If you notice any suspicious activity, do not hesitate to call the Center Township Police Department immediately. Your vigilance can help prevent further incidents and keep our community safe.
