Center Township Police Department is accepting applications for a Part-Time Police Officer position. The selection process includes a competitive examination.

Office hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Completed applications must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on August 7, 2026.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:

Be a U.S. citizen
-
Be at least 19 years of age
-
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
-
Be physically and mentally capable of performing the duties of a municipal police officer
-
Have successfully completed Act 120 certification by the time a conditional offer of employment is made
-
Hold a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
-
Successfully pass all required background investigations

Compensation
Starting pay for Part-Time Police Officers is $24.97 per hour with the future opportunity to be promoted to a Full-Time-Police Officer.
​
Applicants will be notified of the date, time, and location of the written and physical agility examinations after their application has been received.
